Cub Scout Cuboree A Success!

The Triune District celebrated another great year of Scouting at Camp Hart (Musser Scout Reservation) from May 13-15. One hundred Scouts and fifty parents played Frisbee, shot BB and Archery, sang songs, learned First aid, carved soap, and more.

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to both the volunteers who planned and executed this event, as well as the volunteers who took the time this weekend to ensure the youth in their units had an opportunity to get to camp.

Event patches are in the process of being designed and ordered.  Units will be contacted when they arrive.

Is Your Unit On The Journey To Excellence?
“Scouting’s Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new council performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of our units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.

The Journey to Excellence program's Bronze level is designed to be achieved by the top 80% of all units.  All units should strive to achieve this minimum level.

Joel, WOuld you want to post this to the blog? I did this physical for Sam last year--it was great! http://www.minuteclinic.com/physicals/ Sam will NOT be at Scouts this Saturday, he has to do something for school that afternoon. Fwd: Cuboree

I'm pretty sure there will be a more formal description of what took place this past weekend with our 1st Annual Cuboree, but needless to say, I want to offer my comments now. We should be very proud. The weekend was a success! Pack 133 stepped up to the plate and made its presence known. From Joel being one of the organizers and showing leadership among the leaders--to our own cubs doing two skits that brought the house down, we all should be proud of this past weekend's events. I have a sense that next year's will be bigger with more cubs and packs participating. Kudos should go to Joel, Anthony and Dana for their commitment!
