Last Saturday 12/9/2011 our Parent Committee decided on having a Pot-Luck style Holiday Party for our Scouts. In addition the Pack will be buying approx 8 pizzas from Overbrook Pizza.
This event will recognize Cub for Heritage Belt Loop and Bobcat achievements. There will also be gifts for Cubs in attendance.
The Pack will also provide a Cub Pack birthday cake to celebrate all the December birthdays. Fell free to bring additional celebratory items for your sons birthday if you would like.
Below are Items Parents have pledged to bring. Please e-mail me back if you can provide anything to help make this activity a joyous occasion for our sons. Please be mindful that we try to provide foods and refreshments that are healthy as well as tasty.

Parent Committee Meeting Minutes for December 3, 2011

Topics Discussed:
J.R Brockman: Brockman discussed the need for Youth Protection in lieu of the reason events. He also discussed the requirements of every 2yeaars Youth Protection is required by Boy Scouts
of America however our Pack's requirement is yearly. Also he told the parents what Youth
Protection consists of and how it protects adults as well as the Scouts.
He suggested that Parent volunteers become Youth Protected as part of the Pack team.
Joel Wilson:
Discussed Pack 133 and how parents like him became actively involved which led to his
leadership role within the Pack.
In January 2012, the movie Redtails will be released and it is about the Tuskegee Airman.
Tentatively he has arranged to have the Tuskegee Airman come speak with our Pack.
He also discussed the need for volunteers in the area of Chairman, Secretary and Fundraiser.
Wendy Palmer volunteered for position as Chairman without protest from parents attending.

Fundraisers discussed by CubMaster Wilson Ski trip or another trip for the winter season the
camping trip was cancelled. Tentatively, Mrs. Upshaw will report at the next meeting the rates
and information for Bear Creek Lodge. Gloria Shabazz will report on the Blazers Ski trip and
rates.
