Free Library Festival: Saturday & Sunday, April 17 & 18, 2010
Now in its fourth year, the Free Library Festival is the Library's annual burst of ideas and inspiration! Well on its way to becoming a Philadelphia tradition, the Festival weekend is packed with free programming for all ages, including talks by bestselling authors, poetry readings, musical performances, and programs and activities just for children—plus a bustling Street Fair & Literary Marketplace featuring more than 70 exhibitors! A fun, free way to spend the day, the Free Library Festival connects book lovers from throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
Tigers, Wolves & Bears - How to Earn an Achievement Badge?
All Cubs have a Reading Requirement in their Scout book. Complete the below steps and we will gladly sign off for your Reading Requirement :)
· Attend the Library Festival and visit the BOOK CORNER (used books)
· buy a book of your liking ($1 each or paperbacks 5 for $1)
· will have FREE Library stamp inside
· Read Book (or 1st chapter of a chapter book)
· Show Your What You Learned to the Pack!
· Write a 1 page essay (2 - 4 paragraphs)
· Perform a Show-N-Tell at Future Pack Meeting
BONUS: Take a picture @ Festival with Pack 133 T-Shirt and Scout will be featured on Blog!
