Dear Scouts and Parents,
Happy New Year! As we begin 2013 and the beginning of the second half of the Scout Year I want to wish everybody in our Scout Family a great and prosperous new year. We have another activity filled second half come up.
We have just rechartered and we have registered 29 Scouts. This is the largest number ever of Boy Scouts. The goal now is to retain this number meaning keeping everybody a fully active member.
Soon I will be issuing the names of members of the Scout Committee and leaders of the Parents Committee. They will be reaching out to parents to help. Also please make note of the following activities that are coming up.
- ENDGAME: PBS Documentary about AIDS in the black community. A film presentation at St. Thomas Friday 4 January 6:30 p.m.
- Third Annual Pancake Breakfast: Saturday 2 February This will be our third annual pancake breakfast fundraiser.
- Mardi Gras Celebration: Men's Fellowship Event Saturday 8 February party event (The Men' Fellowship is the sponsoring organization of the St. Thomas Scout Program)
Also, the St. Thomas Swim Program will start this month. Notices will be sent out. This Saturday 5 January our Scout Program will begin the start of the second half of the Scout Year starting at 1500 hrs (3:00 p.m.)
