Subject: Pinewood Derby
Dear Cubs and Parents,
Congratulations to all of the participants in last weeks, District Pinewood Derby. Cub Alex Morrow among others brought home a trophy to Pack 133. I was asked about a “national” or next level Pinewood Derby race. Unfortunately there are no other competitions beyond the district. I did find out that last year in North Carolina, there was a “National Pinewood Derby” contest, but there is no information on a 2010 ‘national race’.
I am delighted that so many of you enjoyed the Pinewood Derby race. If we can’t wait till next year, we will look at a ‘Spring Invitational’ where we will conduct another race and open it up to other Packs to join us. We can discuss at our next Parents Meeting.
