Dear Scouts and Parents,

Next Sunday 10 October Boy Scout and Cub Scout Pack 133 will host coffee hour for the parishioners of St. Thomas after services.  As one of the guilds and organizations of St. Thomas providing refreshments after Church is one way to give back to the members of St. Thomas.

This will be another opportunity for us to conduct a show and sell for our Popcorn Sale.  Also, in the past, this has been a perfect opportunity to hold a bake sale to raise some additional funds.  This will require a chairperson or small committee to call this week and get some parent volunteers to bake some goods to include coming to St. Thomas to help conduct the sale.

The coffee hour will be conducted from 12:00 noon to 1:15 p.m.  If you cannot participate in the bake sale but can bake some goods that would be appreciated.  Please do not purchase items for the bake sale, e.g., cakes, cookies, etc..  They normally do not do well. Items like home made pies, bake rolls, etc. do very well even homemade cookies.   You can contribute by purchasing a fruit, cheese, or vegetable tray as part of our snacks for the coffee hour.

We are committed to the coffee hour, however I will need to know by Wednesday whether we have enough parents who are interested.  In addition to having parents bake some goods, we need some parents to organize and help conduct the sale.

I have to know by Wednesday, because that is the deadline to get things into the Church bulletin for Sunday.  If we do not have enough parents volunteering we will just conduct the coffee hour and popcorn sales.

Scouts who would like to participate in the Popcorn sale may do so by showing up in Class “A” uniform.  As all other show and sells, Scouts will get credit for the time they participate.

For those parents interested in conducting a bake sale or helping to organize it, send me your name and I will turn it over to Mr. Victor Morrow, President Participants.  Mr. Morrow will help in consolidating the list of parent volunteers.

Thank you,

Yours in Scouting,
